(WHAS11) -The bags and boxes are packed, soldiers from the 149th Maneuver Enhancement Brigade will deploy to Iraq on Saturday.
It will be a historic deployment for the Kentucky National Guard, 1300 troops will make this the largest deployment for Kentucky since World War II.
The soldier’s departure ceremony is set for four o’clock Saturday afternoon at Freedom Hall.
