LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) - - TARC is getting a $20 million check from Kentucky and Indiana.

The money helps ease the burden of bridge tolls on low income residents in Metro Louisville.

A study found the cost of each river crossing including tolls and vehicle expenses would rise 21 percent in higher poverty areas.

The cost would go up 11 percent for wealthier people and those living in non-minority neighborhoods.
