LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- One Kentucky Colonel is giving back to those devastated by last month's deadly tornadoes in Oklahoma.
The Kentucky Colonel lives in Japan and said "I went to the devastated area where the tsunami and the earthquake hit and I saw this is really hell. Again, I saw the same things here and I said we have to do something for the victims."
He put out a plea on social media and delivered a donation of more than $13 thousand to the Honorable Order of the Kentucky Colonels in Louisville.
That money will be donated to the victims of last month's tornadoes in Moore, Oklahoma.
He said he was driven to help as a way to say thanks to all the Americans who helped after the massive earthquake and tsunami in Japan two years ago.
