LEXINGTON, Ky. (WHAS11) -- Keeneland is hosting a benefit that will help the family of a slain Bardstown Police Officer who's murder hasn't been solved.
K-9 Officer Jason Ellis was ambushed Memorial Day Weekend on his way home from work.
His K-9 partner, Figo, was retired and given to his widow and two children.
The money raised at the 'Footsteps for Figo' benefit will help the Ellis family with Figo's upkeep.
'Footsteps for Figo' is August 3, in Lexington at Keeneland.
A $135 thousand reward still stands for tips about Ellis' murder.
