The Crescent Hill Old-Fashioned Fourth of July wraps up Monday. There is an art fair and music festival featuring 35 bands on two stages, and so much more. The fun starts at 10 a.m. Monday and continues throughout the day with a fireworks show at 10 p.m.
Monday is day three of the Waterfront Independence Festival, Sunday night the fireworks went off without a hitch despite storms moving through the area. The fun begins at 5 p.m. with lots of activities for the whole family. There's also plenty of food and drink for everyone. The Funky Meters headline Monday with de La Soul opening for them. WHAS11’s Kelsey starks and Ben Pine will emcee the event. Fireworks state at 10 p.m.
A few other fourth events today include the reading of the Declaration of Independence at 9 a.m. at the corner of 5th and Jefferson streets in downtown Louisville.
Jeffersonville is holding their Celebrating Freedom Parade at 11 a.m. on Spring Street between Riverside Drive and Court Avenue. The celebration continues at Warder Park after the parade.
Fort Knox has a full day of family friendly festivities at Keyes Park with a race, music and more. At 9 p.m. Monday there is a Salute to the Nation ceremony, fireworks begin at 10:15 p.m.
