JEFFERSONVILLE, Ind. (WHAS11) -- A Jeffersonville software developer instantly became $100,000 richer.
Jason Derlein won the money from a scratch-off ticket from the Hoosier lottery. Derlein says he plans to use the money to move up to a bigger home and start a college fund for his daughter, who turns one next week.
The "winning in spades" scratch-off ticket was sold at the Circle K on Eastern Boulevard in Clarksville. That scratch-off just launched on January 3. He was the first lucky player to claim a top prize.
