ELIZABETHTOWN, Ky. (WHAS11) -- Elizabethtown is gearing up for the first ever Founder's Day Festival coming up on July 4 at Freeman Lake Park.
It's an entire day worth of family fun featuring a 5K, pie eating contest, live music and of course, fireworks!
The USA Cares 5K run starts at 7 a.m. The kids area and food vendors open at 5 p.m. and the fireworks go off at 10 p.m.
