LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) – After getting a $20 parking ticket, the Mayor of Logansport, Ind. annexed two parking spots for himself in the Central Indiana town.

They used to be reserved for police officers.

Mayor Ted Franklin says he believes the fine boils down to tension between himself and the officer who wrote the ticket.

That officer was the police chief, until Franklin took office.

Mayor Ted Franklin (R), Logansport, Ind. said, "there's some sour grapes there, and I feel like it's an attempt to embarrass me or to intimidate me, and I'm not going to buy into it. I can't be intimidated."

Franklin says police still have eight parking spots.
