LOUISVILLE, Ky. (July 31, 2012) --UPDATE: GE Appliances and Lighting accepted 10,000 applications for new manufacturing jobs so the online application has been closed.

GE Appliances and Lighting will begin accepting up to 10,000 new, online applications at 6:30 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 2, to fill hourly manufacturing positions. Click here to apply!

KentuckianaWorks One-Stop Career Center and Kentucky Office of Employment and Training locations in Louisville, Shelbyville and Shepherdsville will open early on Thursday, Aug. 2, at 6 a.m. to help people without computers or high-speed Internet access apply for jobs at Louisville's Appliance Park.


The locations opening at 6 a.m. for online applications are:

·           KentuckianaWorks One-Stop Career Center at the Nia Center, 2900 W. Broadway, Louisville

·           KentuckianaWorks One-Stop Career Center at the Kentucky Office of Employment and Training Office, 6th and Cedar, Louisville

·           Kentucky Office of Employment and Training, 6201 Preston Hwy., Suite G, Louisville

·           KentuckianaWorks One-Stop Career Center at the Kentucky Office of Employment and Training Office, 31 Mt. Rushmore Court, Shelbyville

·           KentuckianaWorks One-Stop Career Center at 505 Buffalo Run Rd., Suite 100, Shepherdsville

The offices will close at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Offices will be open on Friday, Aug. 3, with normal business hours from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

"Those area residents who need computer access to apply online for the GE positions are welcome to come and use computers at these five locations for free," said Michael Gritton, KentuckianaWorks executive director. "No paper applications are available at these sites as the company is only accepting online applications."
