(WHAS11) - AAA is predicting more than 42 million Americans will travel this Fourth of July. That is nearly a five percent increase over last year.

Just in time for drivers, gas prices have gone back up. Despite prices being lower earlier in the week, they have now jumped back up over 20 cents in Jeffersonville. Experts say gas will be between $3.30 and $3.50 a gallon through Labor Day.

If you're traveling for the holiday, there are some traffic changes expected to happen:

On the Kennedy Bridge: Two southbound lanes and one northbound lane will be open.

Ramps from I-65 N to I-64 E and W and from I-65 N to I-71 N are expected to open this weekend.

In the meantime, the detour signs will reroute you via I-264.
