LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- Just down the block from the giant gold replica of David on Main Street in Louisville, you will now find a giant gold bottle of Maker's Mark. The bottle was unveiled on Thursday in front of the Pyro Gallery.

Maker's Mark and advertising agency Doe Anderson have spent years creatively promoting the product outdoors. This year the Outdoor Advertising Agency Association of America inducted Maker's Mark into it's Hall of Fame.

The statue is part of the celebration of the award.

"We had the idea one morning, we started working on it the next day and within a week it was complete," David Vawter, executive vice president at Doe Anderson, said.

In honor of the award, the Pyro Gallery will be hosting an exhibit of various Maker's ad campaigns over the past 30 years. The exhibit runs through Sunday.
