LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) -- Parking lots near the KFC Yum Center in Louisville will be taking donations of toiletry items in lieu of parking fees on Oct. 14 to help the Center for Women and Families.
The donations will be taken during the Eric Church concert at the arena garage, the First and Main streets garage, the wharf lot and the riverfront lot.
Donated items will be delivered by Parking Authority of River City staff to the center in honor of Domestic Violence Awareness month.
Items needed include shampoo, toothpaste, deodorant, shaving cream, wash cloths, towels, personal items for women and children and cleaning supplies. The Parking Authority suggests a donation of 10 items or about $10 in value.
