(WHAS11) -- Every year, 10,000 patients with life-threatening diseases need a bone marrow transplant from an unrelated donor, but only half receive one. Half is not enough. Find out how you can Be The Match and save a life.

This weekend you're being urged to "Be the Match."

It's a registry WHAS11 been telling you about since Good Morning America anchor Robin Roberts announced she was getting a bone marrow transplant.

Her sister, Sally Ann, is the perfect match and is donating to Robin.

There are literally thousands waiting for a match and that match very well could be you! It takes 10 seconds and a swab of the cheek. Come by one of our local events to learn more about becoming a match and saving a life.

The first 100 test kits are FREE. After the first 100 test kits, there will be a minimum donation of $25.
