Four Louisville day care owners indicted, accused of defrauding state of Ky.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- Four Louisville day care owners were indicted and are accused of defrauding the state of Kentucky out of hundreds of thousands of dollars.

Katrina Clyburn, who owned Trina’s Treehouse, is accused of getting a total of nearly $500,000 from overpayments in public assistance benefits.

In 2011 a child died after swallowing a push pin at Trina's Treehouse.

Three other day care owners were indicted.

Tyaundra King from Community Care One on Cecil Avenue and Community Care Two on West Breckenridge.

Laritha Walker from Caterpillar Clubhouse on East Oak Street and El Shaddai on Berry Boulevard.

And Latanya Williams of Payton's Funland on East Chestnut.

All of the day cares are currently shut down.
