LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) – WHAS11’s graphics have changed to a widescreen format, it is important to WHAS11 to make sure our viewers can see all the content without the sides of our new graphics being cut off, or other undesirable effects on the image.

The following are images of formats that are good examples of how to view our new graphics and some poor examples:

GOOD format example: This is what WHAS11 wants our viewers to see

BAD format example (postage stamp): In order to fix your TV setting see the picture of remotes below.

ALSO BAD (Center-cut and then stretched): In order to fix your TV setting see the picture of remotes below.

On old “square” TVs, the left image “letterbox” is what WHAS11 wants viewers to see to accommodate for the new graphics. The image on the right is “zoomed in” which will cut off the new graphics. This is likely a TV setting. In order to fix your TV setting see the picture of remotes below.

To see WHAS11's new graphics in the correct format, most of the time the settings on your TV can be changed.

IN ORDER to change your screen format settings, here is a picture of some remotes that show what button you will need to use in order to see the full graphics.
