LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- Many young athletes have called the gym at Christian Academy of Louisville home, but the class of 2010 has two standouts that are moving beyond high school fame to household names.

Don Rice coached Antonita Slaughter now a key player for the Lady Cardinals.  He calls her a "once in a lifetime player." She was recruited by UofL since she was a high school freshman. Rice also says Slaughter is most impressive off the court with her character.

While slaughter has gotten many accolades as both a high school and college player, one of her classmates also became a Cardinal basketball player.

Tim Henderson declined other college offers to walk-onto Louisville's team. He  helped turn the tide against in the Final Four game against Wichita State scoring back to back threes. He helped cut a 12 point deficit to six.

Antonita Slaughter and Tim Henderson are just two standouts from the Christian Academy class of 2010. They are inspiring their Alma mater's generations to come.
