(WHAS11) We all know about the Race for the Cure and pink. Now get ready to wear teal, and Walk for a Cure for ovarian cancer. This Saturday, what is being called the Dee Edwards Memorial Whisper Walk, will take place in Douglas Hills.
Dee Edwards passed away this past April at the age of 38. She was a beloved wife and mother, and a teacher at Crosby Middle School.
Her husband organized this walk for Dee, and for all women who run the risk of getting this terrible disease.
To take part in the walk, this Saturday, November 14, the cost is $25 per adult, and $15 per student.
The Dee Edwards Memorial Whisper Walk will begin at 9:00 a.m. next to the Douglas Hills gazebo; that’s next to Crosby Middle School where Dee taught
