LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11)—The 2014 Kentucky Derby Festival finally has its queen crowned.
On Friday night the princesses of the KDF were present at the 58th Annual Fillies Derby Ball, where a spin of the wheel determined who got to be this year’s queen.
This year’s queen is Julia Springate, and was crowned at the event held at the Galt House.
The rest of her court was also determined on Friday, consisting of four princesses, two handmaidens, two pages and four outstanding citizens of the community.
The event was emceed by Good Morning Kentuckiana’s Kelsey Starks and Andy Treinen.
