LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- Another Louisville library is getting a green designation for their efforts at energy saving.
On Wednesday morning, Mayor Greg Fischer and library officials celebrated the Fairdale Library's LEED Certification.
LEED stands for Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design.
The Fairdale Library received its certification for its energy efficiency and geothermal heating and cooling, and environmentally friendly furniture and flooring.
The newburg library received the designation in 2009.
