LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) – Downtown Louisville is getting a little greener with the addition of more than 160 new trees.
The trees were paid for by a $40,000 grant from Metropolitan Sewer District and a $5,000 donation from local businessman and philanthropist Henry Heuser Jr.
The newly created-created Metro Tree Commission also helped move the project forward.
Louisville has been named a “Tree City USA” for the past 11 years.
