LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- The tree is now in place for Light up Louisville and if you have been wondering what to call it, the official name is the Community's Christmas Tree.
The 50-foot blue spruce is in place at Fourth Street Live with the official lighting up Friday November 23.
There seemed to be a little confusion over the name, a community tree or a Christmas tree. Mayor Greg Fischer says there is no confusion in his office.
Steve and Julie Beach donated the tree this year. They planted it back in 1980.
