Join me in helping the Crestwood Festival and Lion's Club work towards a wonderful goal. I will be there live at the festival Sept 10 at  9 a.m. on WHAS 11 with Reed Yadon.

The South Oldham Lion's Club is working hard as it prepares for this year's Crestwood Festival September 9 and 10. One of the goals of the South Oldham Lion's Club is to raise enough money from the festival to purchase up to three AEDs for Oldham County Schools. The Lion's Club was key in making sure South Oldham High School had an AED. It saved the life of Sean McNew who went into cardiac arrest in 2009. He was featured in a story I did on WHAS11 in May.

The annual fund raiser and community festival is returning to The Maples on SR 22 in Crestwood for the third consecutive year. According to Tom Price, Club President, this year’s festival will see several major changes, including free admission and parking, an expansion to include Friday evening entertainment and food/beverage sales from 5:00 to 9:00 PM, no charge for most children’s activities and a 5K Run/Walk at 8 a.m. on Saturday. The Festival will open at 10 a.m. on Saturday and end at 6 p.m. Proceeds from the Festival will support the programs of the South Oldham Lions Club, including the purchase of addition Automatic Defibrillators for Oldham County Schools.

If you or someone you know would like to donate funding for the purchase of an AED , email me or go to www.southoldhamlions.org
