LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- Churchill Downs is cashing in cans to help students at Louisville’s West End School.
Churchill began collecting aluminum cans for the school back in October.
On Monday afternoon, they handed over thousands of cans to ISA Recycling.
Money raised will go back to West End School. A year-round boarding school for at-risk middle school boys designed to keep them interested in academics and off the streets.
As part of the partnership, students even got the chance to go to the Breeders' Cup.
Churchill will continue collecting cans for West End School through the end of the fall meet, Nov. 26.
