LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11)—Volunteers spend their morning beautifying a heavily trafficked area.

Metro Council President Jim King joined workers from Brightside and other volunteers from Bashford Manor Neighborhood Association, Lowe’s and Walmart.

The group joined together to help the “beautification” and create a new “Brightsite” at Bardstown Road and the Watterson, planting roses, daisies, irises’ and other flours.

Brightside has invested $10 million in the past 27 years for community-wide beautification.
