LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- Twelve-year-old Guistave Bah attends the West End School on Virginia during the week. It's a boarding school where the kids go home on the weekends. He is named for his grandfather and told me, “it means pride, feels good that my father would name me for my grandfather.”

Hunter Strickler, 26, visits him after work from his job at Louisville Paving Company. They make a point to eat dinner together at the West End School.

Guistave told me he's matured since being matched with Hunter as his big brother. Gone are the child-like temper tantrums over silly things. It’s something he gives credit to Hunter for changing.

I asked Guistave what he wanted Hunter to give him for Christmas.

His answer?

“Nothing, He has given me all I need,” Guistave said.

Merry Christmas everyone from all of us here at WHAS11; next year we kick off our 24th straight year of bringing you the stories of young people who are doing great things with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Kentuckiana.
