Louisville, Ky. (WHAS11) - The biggest need for matches for Louisville's Big Brothers Big Sisters organization is for boys.

When WHAS11 News finds a longtime big sister match like this one, it shows just how well this volunteer effort can really turn out, especially when you already come from one huge, Louisville family.

The cupcake mix was pouring at Alesia Williams' Louisville home.

Williams, a longtime DuPont Manual teacher and her little sister Miranda Strane-Harris love to cook from cakes.

The cupcakes are to fill up Miranda's eight brothers and sisters, she's number nine.

So you can imagine getting time with big sister Alesia brings quiet time.

The pairing has brought many firsts for Miranda; she’s gone to college women's basketball games, they play gin rummy together and they've gone camping.

This match will be 6-years-old in August.

Miranda's family will certainly love the cupcakes but for Miranda and Alesia, making them was all the more fun.

Remember, you are only required to be with your little sister or little brother for just a few hours a month. But WHAS11 has found that in most every case, these folks far exceed that.  In fact, Miranda and Alicia meet every Friday.
