For some young boys and girls in Kentuckiana, that extended family includes a big brother or big sister in Kentuckiana - an adult volunteering their time.
So imagine being 11-years-old and learning the skill of making your own pasta and we're not talking about the kind you just drop into a pot of boiling water.
