(WHAS11) -- One of the hottest actresses in Hollywood is bringing attention to a Louisville youth home.
“Bellewood is very close to my heart because it’s been in my family for generations,” Jennifer Lawrence of the upcoming Hunger Games movie said. “Now, more than ever, children across my home state of Kentucky need your help and support. Bellewood can give them that.”
A new video has just been released of Lawrence asking for community support for the Bellewood that helps neglected and abused children from across Kentucky.
Lawrence’s video will be shown this weekend at the home’s fundraiser.
They are holding a film festival this weekend at Kentucky Country Day School on Sunday March 11. The festival features 40 films made by young people aged 12 to 18 years from across Kentucky and Southern Indiana.
Admission is $5.
