LAUREL CO., Ky. (WHAS11) -- The tornadoes back in March destroyed just about everything in their path from Indiana to Kentucky.

Ethel Pruitt, who lived in Laurel County, was killed along with her daughter. Miraculously her four dogs survived. They were chained outside the home the day the tornadoes hit.

All but one of the four dogs have found new homes. The remaining dogs name is Angel a three-year-old Shepherd mix.

Rescue groups have not been able to place her in the rural area she is from so Angel is now in the hands of the Kentucky Humane Society in Louisville.

Angel is very shy and likely needs to be in a quiet home. If there are children they probably need to be older.

For more information about Angel or any other adoptable pets call 502-366-3355. You can also visit their location at 241 Steedly Drive in Louisville or click here for more information.
