(WHAS 11)--You have the chance to help the American Red Cross meet the needs of all patients.

The Red Cross is hosting a blood drive Sept. 2 in honor of National Sickle Cell Awareness Month.

There are four locations to donate blood, the Louisville Athletic Club on Westport Road and the PBI Bank on Eastpoint Parkway.

Those two locations are open 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

You can also donate blood at Bill Collins Ford on Bardstown between noon and 4 p.m. and at Kroger on Poplar Level Road between 4 p.m. through 8 p.m.
