(WHAS11) -- The Shamrock Pet Foundation is getting ready to host the 16th Annual Art for the Animals. The event is set for Thursday, August 2nd from 6-9pm at the Mellwood Arts and Entertainment Center.
There will be a live and silent auction, a showcase of original artwork from well-known regional and national artists, food and music. Shamrock will also have a number of pets available for adoption during the evening.
Tickets are $75 per person. All proceeds benefit the Shamrock Foundation, a non-profit organization created to end pet overpopulation through spay/neuter services, education, emergency medical assistance, foster care, and the adoption of pets to loving lifetime homes. The organization is made up entirely of unpaid volunteers.
