LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- A real-life war hero, whose mission was made into the classic movie '30 Seconds Over Tokyo' was honored Wednesday in Louisville and at 97-years-old, he's still a force to be reckoned with.

This afternoon, Dick Cole was inducted into the Sons of the American Revolution, a group whose ancestors fought for early American independence, as uniformed color guardsmen stood watch.

Cole is one of only four surviving members of the Doolittle Raid, a daring WWII mission made into a 1944 film starring Spencer Tracy, about an air raid some thought was a suicide mission.
