LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) – Sunday’s warm, sunny weather was the perfect setting for about 3,000 people who participated in Healthy Kids Day at Papa John’s Cardinal Stadium.
This is the sixth year for this day of activities hosted by YMCA of Greater Louisville.
Kids and their families were encouraged to come and get active. Activities included running relay races, playing in the inflatables, and participating in interactive displays.
Kids were also given healthy snacks in an effort to show kids and their parents how to live better.
The event, which occurs each year before the Kentucky Derby, is free and open to the public.
