LOUISVILLE, Ky. (Press Release) - - One in five Kentuckiana children are at risk of going to bed hungry every night. Nearly 1 billion people suffer from hunger around the world.

July 13-14, Yum! Brands and Mayor Greg Fischer announced Friday the launch of the 2012 Paddle for Hunger, a weekend of paddleboat racing, recreational floats, and various competitive events to raise funds for The Dare to Care Food Bank and The World Food Programme. The effort reflects Yum! Brands’ ongoing commitment to fight hunger at home and around the world.

Location: Start and Finish for all races will be Big Four Bridge staging area except The Mayor's Cup will be end at Forecastle's Main Stage area.

Friday, July 13
3:00 pm-6:00 pm: Onsite registration-Towhead Dock next to Tumbleweed
Boat drop-off @ Paddler’s Village
Sprint Races
Race: Sprint Races “One Start For All”
Groups

Start: 7:00 p.m.
Registration: 6:00 p.m. Closes
Briefing: 6:00 p.m. to 6:15 p.m.
