LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11)- There are all sorts of summer camps available for young people and today's project green focuses on an organic gardening camp here in Louisville.
The camp will show young people how to leave a positive carbon footprint, and teaches them about organic, green sustainability.
It involves hands-on activities like planting a garden and harvesting fruits and vegetables.
“Our main mission is to create green ambassadors for life by teaching them key principles about conservation, reusing, recycling and rethinking how they use the natural resources all around them,” said program founder and director, Angela Jackson-Brown
