WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY TUESDAY NIGHT - WEDNESDAY (More Info)
It’s an unsettled weather pattern this week! A low-pressure system is moving over the region today bringing scattered showers, and possibly a few thunderstorms in southern Kentucky. Severe weather is expected to stay south of our area. Expect chilly rain showers tomorrow. As colder air filters in, we expect a transition to snow tomorrow night, with light accumulations likely by Wednesday morning. 1-3” slushy snowfall totals possible. Our Wednesday morning commute is what will be mainly impacted, with above freezing temperatures later in the day. A winter-like start to spring! Thursday is looking cool and dry. A brief light wintry mix is possible overnight Thursday into early Friday morning, before briefly drying out again. The next system will bring scattered rain on Saturday, another break on Sunday, before more rain on Monday. So, basically expect precipitation chances about every other day over the extended outlook!
