Winter is not going to go down without a fight early this week, unfortunately. Clouds increase Monday ahead of another chance of rain and a few storms Monday night. Severe weather risk with this system will stay well south of Louisville and likely south of the entire area.
Much colder air will wrap in on Tuesday and Wednesday. Moisture will linger with a passing disturbance. This could give parts of the Ohio Valley some snowfall accumulations Tuesday night and Wednesday morning – yep, on the first days of spring!
Quiet but chilly weather will arrive Thursday and Friday, but more energy moves in on Saturday with rain chances. That system looks similar to yesterday’s with warmth and storms south and colder air north.
A milder weather pattern appears to shape up beyond the 7-day for a time, but it may also be accompanied with another round of potential heavy rain and storms.
TONIGHT: Clouds increasing, slight chance for a shower. Low 44. Wind: E 5-10.
MONDAY: Clouds thicken. Rain chances increase late. High 60. Wind: ESE 5-15 mph.
TUESDAY: Spring begins. Cloudy with spotty light rain or flurries. High 45.
