SEYMOUR IND. (WHAS 11)--Interstate 65 South was closed for multiple hours, just south of Seymour, after two separate crashes, one deadly, on Tuesday morning.
Indiana State Police was on scene at the 47-mile marker, where two semis collided just before 7 a.m. Tuesday.
One semi had to be unloaded before it's removed from the interstate. We're told one of the semis was also leaking fuel. Cleanup took hours.
The second crash near mile marker 48 resulted in the death of two people
The southbound lanes were closed from US 50 to US 31 during cleanup. Again, I-65 has reopened to traffic.
