LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS 11)--March 17 marks a major deadline in the UofL basketball program's sex scandal investigation.
According to athletic director Tom Jurich , we may not have a final ruling on the case until this summer, but March 17 is the date for the NCAA to answer the University's response in the investigation.
It's been 60 days since UofL submitted its response to the notice of allegations.
The investigation centers around claims by Katina Powell that the program paid escorts to have sex with players and recruits at Billy Minardi Hall and other locations.
The university responded saying Coach Rick Pitino failed to monitor former director of basketball operations Andre McGee.
Once the NCAA responds, there will be a hearing with the committee on infractions.
The school previously told WHAS they expect that hearing to be in May.
