Louisville, Ky. (WHAS11) – Four days after a massive water main break flooded Shelby Park, the Louisville Water Company began installing a new water main.
Crews are installing a new 48-inch water main on Clay Street and Oak Street. The pipe that broke on December 12 was more than 100 years old, according to officials.

Since then, water service has been restored to all those customers affected. Representatives for Louisville Water said clean-up work is expected to continue into next week.
