(WHAS11 News) - Nothing says the holidays more than twinkling lights, and these neighborhoods are over-flowing with holiday spirit!

Most of the light displays on this list are free to the public, or ask for a charitable donation, which makes these outings perfect for the family.


Fort Wayne

Each year, Fort Wayne glows during its Night of Lights! The bulk of the light displays are on Main Street, though many home and business displays are set up throughout the city.

Monument Circle

Featuring nearly 5 thousand lights, Indianapolis' Circle of Lights display has dazzled visitors for 55 years! Larger-than-life toy soldiers and peppermint sticks will return, and new this year, all the strands of lights will use LED bulbs.

Reynolds Farm Equipment

A massive decorating tradition held at the Fishers, Ind. store location, this light display started as a modest way to add some sparkle to the store. Now it features nearly 1 million bulbs inside more than 150 displays!

Lights Under Louisville

A giant cavern is transformed into an underground holiday light display--it's the only underground light show of its kind. This display features over 3 million points of light wound through 17 miles of passageways!

Grand Rivers Festival of Lights

Live music, bright lights, and good food! This Festival of Lights at Patti's 1880 Settlement and Restaurant has it all. This year, the holiday decorations include over 700 thousand lights.

Stonegate Neighborhood

An entire Owensboro neighborhood full of decorating gurus, though one house may shine brighter than the rest. The Lashbrook's house has a stunning display full of custom-designed pieces. Santa will be on site handing out hot chocolate and candy canes!
