LOUISVILLE (WHAS11) – Vice President Mike Pence will be at Harshaw Trane of Trane Parts and Distribution Center on Saturday, March 11.
Pence is expected to discuss the President’s economic agenda, the repeal and replacement of Obamacare, and the American Health Care Act. His visit will end with formal remarks, according to whitehouse.gov.
Pence is set to make remarks at 10:45 a.m.
The White House is calling his visit a listening session with small businesses and job creators in the Louisville community.
Kentucky’s Governor Matt Bevin is expected to be at this visit as well.
The stop in Kentucky will not involve Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell. A spokesman for Kentucky’s senior senator said he had been meeting frequently with the vice president and was “appreciates his availability” but Leader McConnell would not be at Saturday’s event.
Senator Rand Paul has been one of the most outspoken opponents of the Obamacare replacement plan being pitched by House Republicans and President Donald Trump. Thursday Senator Paul tweeted a link encouraging voters to fight the plan and donate money to the effort.
