LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- Metro Council members have picked Vitalis Lanshima to fill the seat created by the removal of Councilman Dan Johnson, the Democrat in south Louisville.
Lanshima was among about a dozen people council members interviewed this week for the South End seat. After the vote, Lanshima thanked his supporters.
Dan Johnson was removed following sexual harassment allegations.
Lanshima will represent the Beechmont, Iroquois and Kenwood neighborhoods, for the remainder of Johnson's term that ends in January 2019.
