LOUISVILLE (WHAS11) -- This past Tuesday the University of Louisville learned about unauthorized access and possible downloads of 2016 W-2 form information of some of their employees.

The university confirmed 83 employees reported fraudulent activity involving their W-2s.

UofL said they are working closely with Equifax, their electronic W-2 system, to work out the issues.

They do not believe it will prevent any employees from receiving tax refunds.

The university says Equifax has noticed similar issues with other organizations and UofL does not believe it is an issue with their own servers.
