LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) – March Madness is here Kentuckiana. So now that you're making your brackets or maybe participating in some office pools, we also found fans at JD Becker in Outer Loop Plaza that are already shopping for their red or blue gear.

Hillary Baynes, with JD Becker tells us, “UK Won the SEC Championship, they both got number two seed sin the tournament and they both play in Indy on Friday on St. Patrick’s day so march madness is roaring and going here."

Baynes says this week will be big and the 2017 SEC Championship shirts are hot off the press and since U of L and UK play on St. Patrick's Day, you won't even have to worry about getting pinched the store has green items to choose from as well.

“We do expect to see Louisville coming in here for a lot of stuff because they do play Friday night and Indy is not that far so a lot of people will probably travel up there,” Baynes said.

Although the schools aren't offering any travel deals, it's beyond tempting for fans to make the drive up North.

“I'm actually super excited to see UK's first game against NKU, and it’s their first time in the tournament so it’s going to be really cool to see two Kentucky teams play each other,” Craig Shelton, a UK fan said.

U of L officials tell WHAS11, the team received at least 100 fewer tickets from the NCAA than in year's past, they now have 450 instead of the normal 550, so that only allows enough for the team, coaches-and other staff members.

UK also is not offering any tickets to the general public. But with the first round of the tournament being so close, you can expect Cats and Cards to take over Circle City.
