LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS 11)-- The Southern Association of Colleges and Schools is set to make an announcement on whether or not the University of Louisville will be taken off probation. This is connected to the school's accreditation.

SACS sent a letter to UofL in January blaming Kentucky Governor Matt Bevin for the decision.

It claimed when Gov. Bevin signed an executive order to abolish the Board of Trustees, it showed the board was functioning with a lot of influence from outside sources. It also highlighted the governor's involvement when former president Dr. James Ramsey resigned.

At the time, the governor's office released a statement saying, Bevin denied claims made by SACS.

In October, the accreditation group said UofL was back in compliance.
