LOUISVILLE, Ky.(WHAS 11)--Dec.7 marks 76 years since the Pearl Harbor attack.

Groups across the country will remember those who died.

In Louisville, the body of a man killed in that attack will be brought home.

Seaman Samuel Crowder was killed aboard the USS Oklahoma in the Pearl Harbor bombing in 1941.

Crowder's remains will be greeted by a veteran motorcycle escort group and taken to a funeral home on Bardstown Road.

A funeral is planned for Dec.9.

Since 2015 the military has been working to identify remains.

More than 2400 Americans were killed in the Pearl Harbor attack.

Memorial services will be held in several areas including at the USS Arizona Memorial in Pearl Harbor.
