LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) – A pedestrian has died after he was struck at Taylor Blvd. and Walter.

According to police, the man darted into the middle of the street and was directly into the side of a vehicle.

“I just saw him run and thrown 20 feet up in the air,” said Moesha Sain who told WHAS 11 News she was there when it happened.

Sain said she saw the man arguing outside a gas station on Taylor Blvd, and that's when he took off running, then got hit.

“He wasn't moving, he was bleeding from his hand and his mouth,” Sain remembered.

He was transported to University Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Police said the driver had the right of way and stayed at the scene.

No charges are expected against the driver.
