LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) – One WHAS11 viewer used us to deliver quite the package and this is another great example of our #dosomething campaign.

We introduced you to Kathy Henderson in early October, she’s a single mom battling stage four breast cancer. The disease has spread beyond her breasts to her lungs and bones.

Henderson’s story lead one of our viewers to provide her with a worry-free night of fun for her and her 10-year-old son Khamari.

“I've been having people come up to me like…are you the young lady that was on TV, I saw your story, so I have touched a couple of people with my story and I'm so glad and thankful to you all for letting me get my story out,” Henderson said.

A WHAS11 viewer saw Henderson's tremendous strength and faithful spirit and wanted to help...anonymously. So we picked up a pair of the viewer's men's basketball season tickets and headed to Henderson's home with the good news.

This kind viewer definitely made the right choice, and you can see why as soon as you enter Henderson’s home. From the walls to the shelves to the floor, there is Cardinal Pride wherever you turn.

“I just want to tell this person thank you to this person from the bottom of my heart,” Henderson said.

The free tickets are not just joy for a Louisville fan, they are a gift of peace for a woman who carries more than most could handle.

“It just takes my mind off of things with my illness and it just helps me spend time with my son, it’s us bonding together and I just love it,” she said.

Henderson's strength clearly reached far beyond the TV screen and touched the hearts of many.
