LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- Now's your chance to help name the newest member of the Louisville Metro Police Department.

The Churchill Downs Foundation is donating a horse to the Mounted Officer Division and they're holding a contest to come up with his name.

From now until October 23 you can share your suggestions on the track's Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram accounts. Those names will then be narrowed to five choices which will be voted on beginning October 24.

The Mounted Police currently has four full-time officers, ten auxiliary officers and six horses.

They'll get their newest horse on October 30.
